I open my peanuts over a trashcan
to cut down on mess

but sometimes one sneaks past my fingers and falls

in there

I wouldn’t consider this with any other
food
but

I figure if it lands on an envelope or whatever and not something gross it’s
ok to eat

Each one is so different

every bite like meeting a new friend

so really it would be wrong not to save it
